TLM Level 1 Award in Health & Safety in the Construction Environment / QAN 610/0219/7

This Ofqual-regulated course is designed to support professionals in, or striving to work within the construction industry in demonstrating their understanding of Health and Safety with the Construction Environment. The Level 1 award is a qualification covering the common risks and hazards that are needed to understand, to safely operate in a construction environment. As a vocational qualification it is aimed at those wishing to gain a new skill, to better their employment opportunities, or gaining their Green Card.

Qualification

On successful completion of the course you will be receive a Nationally recognised Level 1 Award in Health & Safety in the Construction Industry. This is the minimum requirements to conduct work on a construction site and is one step in gaining the CSCS Green Labourer Card.

Course Content (inclusive but not limited to:)

  • Principles of risk assessment for maintaining and improving health and safety at work
  • Importance of safe manual handling in the workplace
  • Importance of working safely at height in the workplace
  • Risks to health within a construction environment
  • Importance of working around plant and equipment safely
  • Duration


The duration will take into consideration prior knowledge:

As the teaching and assessment is tailored to the individual the group size will not exceed 3 candidates. (Courses will comply with current Covid-19 Government guidelines).
