Our Ofqual-regulated Level 3 Award in Professional Competence for Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) Operations equips learners with the essential skills, knowledge, and competence to operate MEWPs safely and effectively. This vocational qualification is ideal for candidates seeking to develop new access-equipment operating skills, improve employment opportunities, or renew an existing MEWP operator certification, all while following industry best practice and safety standards.
On successful completion of the course you will be receive a Nationally recognised Level 3 Award of Professional Competence in understanding the principles, practice, safe use and operation of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms.
Developing the skills needed for employment
Gaining practical experience and competence with the safe operation of mobile elevating work platforms
Developing an understanding of the legislation associated with the safe use of a mobile elevating work platforms
Increasing the capacity to transfer knowledge and skills between contexts
Developing practical skills in creativity and problem solving
Developing an understanding of the characteristics of the operation and lifting capabilities of a mobile elevating work platforms
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of audiences at which work is targeted
Understand the purpose in common applications and/or applications they have used
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of strengths and weaknesses in the handling. Lifting and safe operations of a mobile elevating work platforms
Adopt safe, secure and responsible practice associated with a rider operate lift truck
Develop appropriate and effective risk assessment understandings
The duration will take into consideration prior knowledge:
8 Hours Guided Learning – including classroom and physical assessment plus 2 hours home study.
As the teaching and assessment is tailored to the individual the group size will not exceed 3 candidates. (Courses will comply with current Covid-19 Government guidelines).
