Our Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work provides professionals in low-risk workplaces with the core emergency first aid skills and knowledge needed to support adult casualties. This 1-day first aid training qualification prepares candidates to assess incidents quickly, respond safely and effectively, manage immediate first aid needs, and maintain a safe environment during workplace emergencies.
Unit 1 – Emergency First Aid at work (1 credit).
Understand the roles and responsibilities of a First Aider
Understand how to access an incident
Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty
Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
Be able to manage a casualty who is choking
Be able to manage a casualty with external bleeding
Be able to manage a casualty who is in shock
Be able to manage a casualty with minor injuries
Assessment methods will include Coursework, E-assessment, Portfolio of Evidence and will involve 8 Hours Guided Learning plus 2 hours home study.
The group size will not exceed 8 candidates. (Courses will comply with current Covid-19 Government guidelines).
